Who we are

A jewel in the heart of Biella Piazzo

Located in the heart of the historic village of Biella Piazzo, Palazzo Gromo Losa is a modern exhibition center but also an original container of cultural and social projects owned by the Cassa di Risparmio di Biella Foundation, which acquired the property in 2004 promoting its complete restoration.
With a state-of-the-art multimedia auditorium, a very large professional kitchen, a large panoramic terrace and a wonderful Italian garden dedicated to the rose, Palazzo Gromo Losa is the ideal venue for any type of event. In 2016, the Foundation conferred the management of the complex to its instrumental company Palazzo Gromo Losa Srl.

A modern exhibition center

Our exhibition spaces periodically host art and photography exhibitions, which we often carry out together with the nearby Palazzo Ferrero and Palazzo La Marmora, with which Palazzo Gromo Losa constitutes the Cultural Center of Biella Piazzo. Among the most important events of recent years we remember the Henri Cartier-Bresson
Exhibitions Sam, Lilette and Sébastien Szafran collection.
The Fondazione Pierre Gianadda in Biella (2016), the exhibition on Futurism as part of the "100 percent Italy" project of the Ettore Fico Museum in Turin, the Ettore Pistoletto Olivero exhibition. Michelangelo Pistoletto. Father and Son created in collaboration with Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto and Fondazione Zegna (2019) and the latest editions of Selvatica - Arte e Natura in Festival.

The ideal location for your events

Palazzo Gromo Losa is equipped with a large multimedia Auditorium, an ideal venue for conferences, conventions and concerts, which animate the palace throughout the year, and a large professional kitchen suitable for any catering service. Our spaces, which also include a panoramic terrace overlooking the garden with a breathtaking view of the western Biellese with the moraine hill of the Serra and the Biella and Canavese hills, are at your disposal for corporate events, gala dinners, meetings and receptions.

The Italian garden

The pride of the palace is certainly the Italian garden dedicated to the theme of the rose, created in 2012 by the patron of Biella Emanuele Rosa and today curated by Palazzo Gromo Losa Srl. Roses of various species decorate a long pergola in the center of the garden, recalling the warp and weft of a fabric. At the center of the flower beds, bordered by low box hedges, there are basins of water moved by foaming jets.
The roses and other botanical species present ensure constant flowering from May to November.

The house of music

Palazzo Gromo Losa is home to Fondazione Accademia Perosi, one of Italy's most prestigious musical institutions. Founded in the early 1980s with the intention of bringing together the most esteemed teachers on the international scene, it has distinguished itself over the years as an extraordinary model for the promotion of music, through a multitude of activities revolving around advanced courses.

It is today a place of exchange between old and new generations of musicians. Students participating in the master classes each year come from more than 40 countries.

The Academy, referred to as "the school of music masters", operates within the framework of national excellence and is recognized by Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali for the highest artistic and musical training.

The concert season "I concerti dell’Accademia", which has already been awarded the medal of the President of the Republic, reached its 47th edition in 2023.

A palace for culture and society

Palazzo Gromo Losa also hosts other important local realities engaged in the cultural, educational and social fields.

The “Person at the Center” Family Consultancy pursues civic, solidarity and social utility purposes by providing psychological and emotional-relational support in order to improve the quality of life of people living in conditions of hardship.

The Biella Life Aid Center manages “Casa 2000”, a family-type community that welcomes pregnant women or young children from problematic situations, and “Casa Letizia”, three mini-apartments for mothers who still need support.
